Pickle Particulars
I prefer dill to sweet, which makes me rather ordinary, since in America, dill pickles are twice as popular as sweet ones. Check out 12 Pickle Facts at mental_floss Blog for more interesting pickle-related tidbits.

I, too, prefer dill to sweet. My aunt taught me how to make good kosher dills. She said the success factor depended on the water. It was her belief that overly hard water didn't make the best dills. She had water from a sandpoint on their farm, and it was naturally softer water. My pickles never tasted as good as hers.

I'm a sweet pickle person which I know makes me...not ordinary. And its a pain that whenever you're served a pickle with your sandwich in a restaurant, its invariably dill. But I am used to being not ordinary since I don't drink coffee either. I am allergic to it, in fact! And lots of places only have coffee; not restaurants, but places like churches. Not ours of course, since Andy and I do the coffee...and tea!

I've never made pickles. It may be about the only think I haven't tried. :)

But I love them!

I've never heard of anyone allergic to coffee, Dorothy. It does other bad things to me, so I don't drink it much. I, too, drink tea.
