Thanksgiving 17

I’m thankful for an available surgeon and an emergency room that wasn’t busy. Oldest son cut his arm at work this afternoon and there was tendon involvement so he needed surgery to fix things up. Still, he was in and out of the hospital in just a couple of hours and everything should be fine once he heals.

What’s more, he was not working at his own business at the time, but for an employer, so he’ll be drawing disability for the month he can’t work. As another good gift, he’s more or less finished the jobs for his own business until next spring.

I’m thankful for God’s protection so that what could have been a bad turn wasn’t.

What are you thankful for today?

Here are three ways you can join in the thanksgiving.

  • Mention something you’re thankful for in the comments here and I’ll included it in one of my thanksgiving posts, or
  • Email me to tell me what you’re thankful for and I’ll include it in a post, or
  • Post your thankful thought(s) on your own blog, send me the link(s), and I’ll link to your post(s). If you plan to make your thanksgiving posts daily during the month, let me know that and you won’t need to send me daily links.

More details here.

If you’ve got a thanksgiving post and I missed it, please let me know so I can add your link.

Oh, such good thankful thoughts today. I was "amening" along with them.

Good news about your son all around. So thankful he wasn't more seriously hurt.

I'm thankful with you that oldest son's accident wasn't more serious and that God provided for him so well in it. I'll be praying for his healing.

That still sounds like a nasty cut! So glad he'll be OK once the healing process has a chance to do its thing. Nobody likes to spend time in the ER, but boy! I'm thankful for them when we need them! Tell him I hope he doesn't have too much pain with it and that the month without working is profitable in other ways!

Goodness, Rebecca! So glad for all the ways God's hand was over your son's injury. I hope he heals well and soon.

Don't be so wordy A. Stark. Hope you're ok. If you want to take a trip while you're healing you know where we live. Janna
