Round the Sphere Again: Canadian Edition

Betcha 10 Bucks
you can’t name the 15 biggest cities in Canada in 3 minutes without cheating. How’d you do? You won’t be claiming my money, will you?

No money for me! I got eight on the cities quiz. There were three others that I probably would have gotten on a different day, but I just couldn't remember the name of when I actually was taking the quiz. But the last four I would never have gotten.

I got 7, so I think 8 isn't bad. Yep, there are a few that I'd never have guessed.

I only got three. I wasted a lot of time trying to come up with the name of Toronto. I had one of those space-out moments when I could tell you all sorts of facts about it, point to it on the map, tell you people who live there, but not NAME it. But I did get Hamilton, so I think I should get extra credit for that.

I think the quiz is easier to take for people who have lived a while in the Greater Toronto area, like I have, because several of the cities on the list are right around there. Although that didn't prevent completely spacing on one or two of them.

I knew for a fact that one of the cities was in Manitoba, but every time I tried to remember what its name was, the only place in Manitoba I could remember was the second largest city in Manitoba (and way, way down the list of largest cities in Canada) -- Brandon, Manitoba. :)

Hurray for pro sports, I guess. I just typed in all the cities with NHL teams (past or present), then also thought of Quebec, and that was 8. I didn't even recognize the rest (except for Halifax). There's a London, Canada?!

I got ten! I missed Mississauga (which I wouldn't have been able to spell to get it right anyway), Ottawa (brutal) , Surrey, Laval and Hamilton. I agree - biased for Ontario residents!

By the way, my comment went up quickly.
